The Never Hungry Caterpillar

Did you know that in Germany over 18 million tonnes of food end up in landfills each year?

For an individual, that number doesn't seem tangible. But to put in perspective:

We allow ourselves to throw away more than half of the food we produce. Many of us are aware of this - and yet nobody wants to take responsibility for it. People go hungry every day, even though we produce food

for over 12 billion people.

This is where the Café Raupe Immersatt (translation: "The Never Hungry Caterpillar") comes in. They unconditionally share rescued food and make it available to all. Whoever can't pay, doesn't have to. No questions asked. Whoever has money to spare, should! The place lives off donations.

Raupe Immersatt makes consciousness edible and tangible.
